Sierra Vista ASB Program Celebrates 7 Years

Sierra Vista’s ASB, now in its seventh year, is off to a great start, with students recently packing the school’s new ASB room to learn more about the student leadership program during an ASB Leadership Info Meeting and Fiesta.

Students interested in joining ASB had the opportunity hear Assistant Activities Director Patricia Zazueta discuss the purpose, expectations and benefits of joining ASB.

“I want students to realize that ASB is not only about improving their own leadership abilities, but it is about making their school and community a better place,” Zazueta said. “The possibilities are endless.”

Festivities included games, prizes and fiesta-themed foods like nachos, chili mangos and candy.

This year’s ASB consists of 19 students, who planned this year’s Halloween Bash.

Students are also looking forward to holding its annual Holiday Craft Fair on Thursday, Dec. 12. For more information, call (562) 698-8121, ext. 1320.
