Please be advised that our Food and Nutrition Services will shut down beginning Friday, Dec. 18. Meal Distribution will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 5.

Please be advised that our Food and Nutrition Services will shut down for winter break after Thursday, Dec. 17. On that last day, we will distribute additional meals, including two breakfast meals, two lunch meals and four suppers.

La Serna High School will safely reopen to staff and community food distribution on Monday, Dec. 7. Class instruction continues to be provided via distance learning.

On Nov. 30, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health directed Whittier Union to close La Serna High School for two weeks after the District reported six cases of COVID-19 involving individuals who had been on the campus.

Please be advised that due to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday break, meal distribution at all of our schools will be closed from Friday, Nov. 20 to Friday, Nov. 27.

As case numbers in the state and Los Angeles County continue to rise – keeping us in the purple tier of the state’s risk level – the Whittier Union High School District will extend remote learning until the end of this semester.
